How Further Maths marks are awarded

Further Maths schemes lean heavily on dependent method marks and answers given (AG). A proof by induction, for example, typically earns separate marks for the base case, the inductive step and the conclusion, and a missing conclusion costs a mark even when the algebra is right.

Reading a paper code

9231/12 means syllabus 9231, Paper 1 (Further Pure Mathematics 1), variant 2. Cambridge sets different variants of the same paper for different time zones, so check the variant as well as the paper number when you look for a mark scheme. In Method you can type the code straight into the search.

How to practise Further Maths Maths with Method
