Can I use Method today?
Not yet. Method is in development and opens for the 2027 exam series. Everything on this page shows what we are building. Join the waitlist and we will email you when early access starts.
Which qualifications does Method support?
IGCSE Mathematics, AS Level Mathematics, A Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Version 1 is Mathematics only. Physics, Chemistry and Biology will follow.
Which exam boards are supported?
Papers from Cambridge International, Pearson Edexcel, AQA and OCR are supported where available. Method is not affiliated with or endorsed by any exam board unless explicitly stated.
Can I write directly with Apple Pencil?
Yes. On iPad you open the paper inside Method and write over it with Apple Pencil or any compatible stylus. Your handwritten working is read and marked step by step.
Can I take photos of my handwritten work?
Yes. Complete the paper on real paper, then photograph it with the Method app on iPhone or Android. Method detects the question, matches it to the right paper and marks your working.
Can Method read messy handwriting?
Method is trained on real student working, including crossed-out lines and untidy notation. If a step is genuinely unreadable, it tells you which line rather than guessing.
Does Method understand working or only final answers?
Working. Method awards method marks (M), accuracy marks (A) and independent marks (B) the way an examiner would, so you see exactly where a mark was earned or lost.
Can I search by paper code?
Yes — type a code such as 9709/32 or a phrase like "May June 2025 Paper 3" and the library filters instantly.
Does Method track syllabus changes?
Yes. Method analyses each exam board's current syllabus for your year of entry, tags every past-paper question to it and removes questions on topics that are no longer examined. You can still show them if you want.
Does Method include different paper variants?
Yes. Variants 1, 2 and 3, regional and time-zone variants, and every component (Pure, Statistics, Mechanics, Further) are organised by year and session.
How accurate is AI marking?
Marking follows examiner-style criteria and is checked against published mark schemes where available. It is designed as a practice tool; an official grade can only come from the exam board.
Does Method replace an official examiner?
No. Method helps you practise and understand marking; it does not certify results and estimated grades are indicative only.
Will Method be available on Android?
Yes. Android is part of the launch. Scan your paper with the camera and the result, examiner-style marks and feedback come straight back into the app on your phone.
Will Method be available on iPhone and iPad?
Yes. iPhone scans paper and returns results and feedback in the app; iPad adds the full Apple Pencil writing workflow. Everything syncs between them.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — your first week is on us. Every new account gets the full Pro experience free for 7 days, with no card needed. After that you can stay on the free plan, which marks 3 random questions a day, or upgrade to Pro.
How much does Pro cost?
Pro is $8 a month — about $2 a week — with unlimited AI marking, full-paper marking, scanning and personalised practice. Your first week is free, and the free plan (3 random questions a day) has no time limit.
